The Mystery of the Missing Wallet

Meg Thornton (81-year-old care home resident) is reunited with Lauren Peachy (19-year-old care assistant) for another thrilling mystery.
A wallet goes missing and that night its owner is brutally murdered – a coincidence or something more sinister? This time DI Dan Bywater and DS Viv Williams are investigating from the start, and they are not happy to find Meg and Lauren interfering in their case yet again. But Dan can’t stay cross at Meg for long, particularly when she keeps handing him clues on a plate! And things are further complicated when a budding romance sparks between Lauren and her sexy sergeant, Viv.
A second grisly murder occurring in nearby Wilton is quickly linked to the case and the police are on the hunt for a dangerous murderer out for revenge. Meg and Lauren turn their investigation to the question of his accomplice: they are certain there must be an insider in the care home who let the murderer in for his first kill. 
What Meg and Lauren don’t realise is that the murderer will stop at nothing to protect his accomplice, and they are now facing a very real threat to their lives.

Wendy Boynton lives in the North East of England with her husband and two cats. Born in Swindon and brought up in Pangbourne in Berkshire, she spent a large part of her adult life living in the Salisbury area, where her books are set. Salisbury is a city close to her heart and she regularly visits family and friends there. She is now retired following a varied career in nursing, teaching and youth work, as well as having spent eleven years in France running a B&B and teaching English as a Foreign Language.
