The Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible is my favorite. I can give it no higher recommendation than to say it is the Bible I have raised my daughters to use.” BETH MOORE, Living Proof Ministries, Houston, Texas

About The Author

Warren Patrick Baker

Spiros Zodhiates was born March 13, 1922, to Greek parents on the island of Cyprus. After completing his Greek education, he attended the American University in Cairo, Egypt, The National Bible Institute, and New York University. He earned his Doctor of Theology degree from Luther Rice Seminary and was the recipient of several honorary doctorates.

While serving in the British Army in Cairo, Egypt, Zodhiates received The Voice of the Gospel, a magazine published by The American Committee for the Evangelization of the Greeks. He decided to write an article for the magazine, submitting it in English with an accompanying letter written in Greek. Recognizing his linguistic skills and spiritual dedication, he was invited to America in 1946.

In 1966, Zodhiates was elected president of what is now called AMG International (Advancing the Ministries of the Gospel). Under his leadership, AMG expanded from a ministry focused on Greece to a global evangelistic and relief organization. AMG International provides social services, including care for orphans and leprosy patients, and disseminates the gospel through paid newspaper and magazine advertisements in numerous countries and languages. His mission encompassed the spiritual regeneration of souls while also addressing the physical needs of those he encountered.

An author of over 200 books and booklets in English and 82 in Greek, Zodhiates founded AMG Publishers, which has become a significant producer of Bibles and Christian literature.

Dr. Spiros Zodhiates was called home on October 10, 2009. Over six decades of leadership, he displayed a deep commitment to the Word of God and a focused dedication to fulfilling his calling. His approach was characterized by frugal stewardship, immense enthusiasm, entrepreneurial boldness, and remarkable generosity.
