Summary
Mary: A Nostalgic Dream of Lost Love
Lev Ganin, a young officer adrift in a Berlin boarding house teeming with Russian émigrés, finds himself consumed by memories of his first love, Mary. Immersed in idyllic scenes of pre-Revolution Russia, Ganin becomes convinced that Mary is the wife of a fellow boarder, soon to arrive at their residence. He yearns for her arrival, dreaming of whisking her away and leaving his current life behind in this tale of youth, love, and cherished memories.
