Critics Review

The knowledge base and skills necessary for mental health nurses undertaking pre-registration courses are clearly presented in this informative text. There are many texts recommended to mental health nurse students. If you can only afford one, go for this one. * Mental Health Practice, June 2009 *I can’t find anything to compare to this book, no other text has everything in one place. I just found the chapters so friendly and captivating - they inform my knowledge further…I can’t wait to recommend this to student nurses. * Justin Watts, Student Nurse Mentor, employed within Plymouth Teaching Primary Care NHS Trust. *I would recommend it as a main text for the mental health pre-reg branch programme. The text has been written in a consistent, user centred style with realistic scenarios which recognise the contemporary challenges of modern day mental health practice. * Dr Steve Tee, Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing, Southampton University School of Nursing and Midwifery *This book is extremely user friendly and very useful for new comers to the profession or those attempting to teach it. I recommend this book for all mental health nursing students to beg, borrow or buy. * Amazon.co.uk reviewer *
