Miriam Zoila Perez
Miriam Zoila Perez is a queer Cuban American writer whose non-fiction has been featured in publications such as The New York Times and in anthologies like Roxane Gay’s Not That Bad. Their TED talk on racism and maternal health has garnered over a million views. Perez is also the author of the young adult novel Camila Nunez’s Year of Disasters and co-hosts the podcast Radio Menea. They reside in Washington, D.C., with a passion for bachata and houseplants.
Veronica Bayetti Flores
Veronica Bayetti Flores is a queer Venezuelan writer and activist with bylines in Rolling Stone, Crack Magazine, and Remezcla. She co-hosts the podcast Radio Menea and co-founded the Center for Advancing Innovative Policy, an abolitionist grassroots policy firm.
