About the Author

Dr Mallinson is a prehospital care physician and paramedic who lives and works in Scotland. He is a fellow of the academy of wilderness medicine (FAWM), royal geographical society (FRGS) and the faculty of remote, rural and humanitarian health (FFRRHH).
