Prof. Dr. Thiago Domingues Stocco
Prof. Dr. Thiago Domingues Stocco is a Full Professor and researcher in Bioengineering at the Scientific and Technological Institute of Brasil University. He leads the BioRegenera.Lab research group, focusing on advanced strategies in 3D bioprinting and biofabrication for developing patient-specific regenerative implants, particularly for musculoskeletal tissue regeneration. He has also held positions as Visiting Professor and postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Stocco is an affiliate member of the Academy of Sciences of the State of São Paulo (ACIESP) and serves on the editorial boards of scientific journals. His numerous peer-reviewed publications contribute significantly to the fields of biofabrication and translational tissue engineering.
Dr. Shabir Hassan
Dr. Shabir Hassan is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Khalifa University. Previously, he was an Early Career Investigator at Harvard Medical School, USA. His research centers on developing in vitro platforms for diseases like cancer and various tissues for drug discovery and delivery applications. He is also interested in 3D bioprinting of disease models to study genetic and rare diseases. Dr. Hassan has authored over 75 research papers and received multiple awards from various prestigious institutions. He is an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Biomaterials Science and previously served as Founding Associate Editor for MIT Science Policy Review. He also edits special issues for journals such as Polymers and Frontiers in Pharmacology.
Prof. Dr. Anderson de Oliveira Lobo
Prof. Dr. Anderson de Oliveira Lobo is a Full Professor at the Center for Technology of the Federal University of Piauí and a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow Level A. He was an affiliated member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences in engineering from 2020-2025. He is a fellow of several international organizations, including Core Academy and the International Association of Advanced Materials. Recognized among the top 2% of most influential scientists globally in Biomedical Engineering/Bioengineering since 2021, Dr. Lobo has extensive didactic-scientific experience in Materials and Biomedical Engineering. His work focuses on biomimetic and bioinspired biomaterials for tissue engineering and nanomedicine. He has supervised over 120 postgraduate and undergraduate students, published more than 200 indexed articles with over 5,600 citations, and holds an H-index of 41. Dr. Lobo is an Associate Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Nanomedicine and serves as an ad hoc advisor for numerous international journals and grant agencies. He has also edited special issues for journals including the International Journal of Bioprinting.
