About the Author

DR. LANNY EBENSTEIN teaches the history of economic thought at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has authored biographies of Milton Friedman and Friedrich Hayek, and his work has been translated into a number of foreign languages. He has appeared on C-SPAN's Booknotes, and his writings have been published by National Review and Nature. An adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute, Dr. Ebenstein is president of the California Center for Public Policy, and served two terms on the Board of Education in Santa Barbara.
