Elisabetta Melaranci

Elisabetta Melaranci is an artist for Disney Italia, with extensive work on Principesse Disney (stories featuring Cinderella, Pocahontas, and Esmeralda) and Disney Fairies. She has also drawn for Kim Possible for Disney Channel Magazine, Finding Nemo for Mondo Disney, and contributed to W.I.T.C.H.. Alongside Anna Merli and Claudio Sciarrone, she penciled the Monsters Inc. comic adaptation. Since 2018, she has been active for Sergio Bonelli Editore, Mattel, Disney Pixar, Walt Disney Company Italia, and Penguin Random House, while also working for IDEA Academy.

A Disney illustrator, character designer, and cartoonist, this artist began their career in comics in 2005 as the designer of “Monster Allergy” after attending the Roman School of Comics, where they now teach. They quickly became a cartoonist, illustrator, and character designer for the youth sector, working for both Italian and international markets (Rainbow, Piemme, Egmont, Glénat). Since 2013, they have worked as a cartoonist and illustrator for Disney editorial projects, including Frozen, Tangled, and Oceania. For Disney, they also created the character design and comic adaptation of the TV series Violetta and Soy Luna, and as a character designer, created the world of Star Darlings. In 2015, they participated in the creation of the graphic novel Inside Out (Disney/Pixar).

Federica Salfo

Federica Salfo is an Italian comic book artist born in 1977 in Rome. She began her career drawing comics for ONYX and Editing Communications. She was an artist for Disney Italia’s Cip & Ciop title, featuring Chip ‘n’ Dale, from 2005 to 2012. She has also worked on other Disney properties, such as W.I.T.C.H. and Cars. Her other credits include Tea’s Sisters, Joe Carrot, and Geronimo Stilton for PiEmme, artwork for Barbie Magazine for Studio Chiesa and MATTEL, Milly Merletti for De Agostini, and Holly-Hobbie for Editing Communications. Since 2013, Salfo has been the artist of Meilleures Ennemies, the French comic book adaptation of Alexa Young’s young adult novel series Frenemies, for Miss Jungle. Salfo also creates illustrations for school books by Mondadori and teaches Comic Art at the International School of Comics.

Rosa La Barbera

Born in Sicily in 1978, Rosa La Barbera developed a passion for comics and cartoons early on. After finishing her art studies in 2006, she was selected for Milan’s Disney Academy. She later worked on the animated series Winx and Pop Pixie for Rainbow. She collaborated with publisher Piemme for Geronimo Stilton and Tea Sister, before creating the characters for the animated series Spike Team 2. In 2013, she returned to work for Disney, illustrating comics based on Tinkerbell and the Disney Princesses. She has also worked with Kid Toussaint and Quattrochi on the series Magic 7.
