Susan Wise Bauer is a writer, professor of Writing and American Literature at the College of William and Mary (Virginia), and founder of Well-Trained Mind Press (formerly Peace Hill Press). She graduated from Liberty University, earned her Master of Divinity at Westminster Theological Seminary (Pennsylvania), and completed a Master’s in English Language and Literature as well as a PhD in American Studies. She has also published children’s books and serves as editor of the magazine Books & Cultura. A skilled linguist in Latin, Greek, Arabic, and Hebrew, she has written several books on classical culture and numerous essays on education, literature, and religion.
