Steve Barlow
Steve Barlow
Steve Barlow is half of the writing duo, 2Steves. He has co-authored over 250 books with Steve Skidmore since they began collaborating in 1988. Barlow was educated at Crewe Grammar School, Warwick University, and Nottingham University. His career has been diverse, including roles in teaching, acting, stage management, and puppetry. He also spent four years teaching at a village school in Botswana before returning to the UK. The 2Steves have toured widely across the UK and internationally, participating in book festivals such as Edinburgh and Hay.
Steve Skidmore
Steve Skidmore is the other half of the writing and performing duo, The 2 Steves, known for their comedy work aimed at young people. Born in Birstall, near Leicester, Skidmore studied English at Nottingham University, where he also engaged in sports and various jobs, including counting pastry pie lids. He trained as a teacher of Drama, English, and Film before becoming a full-time author with Steve Barlow. Skidmore resides in Leicester and is an avid rugby fan.
