About The Author
Steve Barlow
Steve Barlow
Steve Barlow, one half of the author duo 2Steves, has co-authored over 250 books with Steve Skidmore since they began collaborating in 1988. Born in Crewe, he received his education at Crewe Grammar School, Warwick University, and Nottingham University. His diverse career prior to writing includes roles in teaching, acting, stage management, and puppetry. He also spent four years teaching at a village school in Botswana before returning to the UK. The 2Steves have undertaken extensive tours throughout the UK and internationally, participating in prominent book festivals such as Edinburgh and Hay.
Steve Skidmore
Steve Skidmore is known for his work with Steve Barlow as the popular British comedy writing and performing duo for young people, The 2Steves. Born in Birstall, near Leicester, he studied English at Nottingham University, where he dedicated much of his time to sports and various odd jobs, including counting pastry pie lids. He trained as a teacher of Drama, English, and Film before becoming a full-time author alongside Steve Barlow. Steve lives in Leicester and is an avid rugby enthusiast.
Wendy Tan
Wendy Tan is a Chinese-Malaysian artist who was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Drawing has been a lifelong passion, which she began pursuing with great enthusiasm during high school. Wendy later graduated from Saito College with a Diploma in Multimedia Design. Her strong interest in storytelling was sparked by film and animation, leading her to work as a storyboard and visual development artist in the Malaysian animation industry. Wendy enjoys using illustration to convey narratives, often employing dramatic use of color and light.
