Critics Review

“An action-packed and heart-warming story rivalling Red Dog in its appeal.” –Family Magazine

“Stephen Dando-Collins has certainly done his research. This is a heart-warming adventure story–full of interesting facts about dogs in war. It is about bravery, courage, friendship, loss and hope; it is about resilience in the face of overwhelming odds. But most of all it is a story about a remarkable dog–based on the stories of real EDD dogs that have served or are currently in service within the Australian and US military.” –Magpies

“Caesar the War Dog has all the elements of a terrific story for children–adventure, mystery, suspense, courage, friendship and loyalty… I simply could not stop reading it; I had to find out what happened to Caesar!” –Smart Books for Smart Kids
