Stanley Newman
Stanley Newman is the crossword editor for the Long Island newspaper Newsday. His puzzles are syndicated worldwide to more than 100 daily, Sunday, and internet newspapers. Newman’s puzzles have also appeared regularly in Prevention, People, Sport, and Bloomberg Businessweek magazines.
He is the author or editor of more than 125 books. Newman has organized and conducted many puzzle and trivia events across the United States, including four seminars at the Smithsonian Institution. In 2007, he organized the first crossword tournament ever held at Yale University.
