His work has regularly appeared in Prevention, People, Sport, and Business Week magazines. Newman is the author or editor of over 200 books and has organized and conducted numerous puzzle and trivia events across the United States, including four seminars at the Smithsonian Institution and, in 2007, the inaugural crossword tournament held at Yale University.
