Stanley Newman
Stanley Newman is the crossword editor for the Long Island newspaper Newsday, and his puzzles are syndicated worldwide to more than one hundred daily, Sunday, and internet newspapers. His work has also appeared regularly in Prevention, People, Sport, and Bloomberg Businessweek magazines.
Newman is the author or editor of more than 125 books. He has organized and conducted numerous puzzle and trivia events across the United States, including four seminars at the Smithsonian Institution. In 2007, he organized the first crossword tournament ever held at Yale University.
He lives in New York with his wife and their three grown children.
