Acoustics Waves And Osillations

Dr S N Sen retired as a Senior Professor of Physics from the University of North Bengal. He was educated at Calcutta University and obtained his Master and PhD degrees from the same University. His PhD was on “Absorption of Ultra High Radio Frequency Waves in Polar Molecules”. Before joining as a reader at Jadavpur University, he also served as a Research Officer at Indian Association for Cultivation Science. Dr Sen was also visiting lecturer and Fulbright Scholar to Pennsylvania State University, USA and visiting Professor to University College of Swansea, England. His main research interest is in Plasma Physics, Properties of Polar Molecules & Ultrasound Waves, X-ray Studies of Solid Substances. About fourteen students have obtained their PhD degrees on related topics under his guidance. He has published more than ninety research papers in reputed journals. Dr Sen has visited a number of Research Laboratories in South East Asia, Hungary and Italy.
