Slavoj Zizek's passionate defence of Lacan reasserts the ethical urgency of psychoanalysis. Since for Lacan psychoanalysis itself is a procedure of reading, each chapter uses a passage from Lacan as a tool to interpret another text from philosophy, art or popular ideology.
