Summary

This is not a book about how to be posh. We have some slightly bigger issues to deal with these days. We’ve all got a million things to do and are constantly connected to millions of other people all doing a million other things, so the faster we get things done the better, right? What They're Saying

Critics Review

The author of Fucking Apostrophes (which, when teaching writing skills to undergraduates, I used very successfully to persuade them to take an interest in the correct use of that punctuation bane) takes on another of life’s biggest irritations: bad fucking manners. With chapters on driving, social media, the environment, getting on with your neighbours, and trips to the cinema, it’s the perfect gift for the courtly, the oafish and uncouth, or those in need of a gentle (and sweary) nudge in the right direction. – Caroline Sanderson * The Bookseller *Just before every vestige of good manners disappears, author Simon Griffin has come to the rescue with an etiquette book for the world we live in today […] it is full of good sense. – Liz Hodgkinson * The Lady *This writer is quite brilliant at drawing satire out of social situations by poking fun at their boorish protagonists. He is effortlessly funny at every turn and humour is the motor which drives the corrective crankshaft … Simon Griffin’s book could not be more current – Yorkshire Times
