Critic Reviews

A colourful story. Classic Cars It's nice to see a book that is so complete on the Beetle's often ignored cousin. Classic & Sports Car (UK) The book is packed with a multitude of fascinating photographs (even if they are rather small) plus artwork to support the comprehensive text, providing a treasure trove of information for the Volkswagen enthusiast and showing why the Type 3s are so sought after. Classic Car Weekly a fascinating insight into the history and production of these classic cars. Volkswagen Driver A highly educational work illustrated with many interesting photographs. Wonderful! Oldtimer Magazine/ Dreamcar Magazine It's a fascinating story, illustrated with some great photos of prototypes and design proposals ... Although of primary interest to the many VW enthusiasts out there, I definitely enjoyed reading this book. Classic driver (monthly) It really must be considered as essential reading for owners and enthusiasts of such vehicles. This could just be the definitive book on the subject. tkc (Totalkitcar); The 160-page hardback book is copiously illustrated including various prototypes- and I don't think I have ever seen a photo of Mr & Mrs Wilhelm Karmann before either- so that this is an unmissable compendium for lovers of the rugged Type 3 VW's and followers or automotive history alike.- Big End/All Torque. Simon Glen's book is the best source of information on all aspects if the Type 3 and a very welcome addition to literature for the Volkswagen community. It is essential reading for all Type 3 owners and enthusiast and should be of great interest to all Volkswagen aficionados. - Norm Mort.
