About The Author

Shere Hite

SHERE HITE is an internationally recognized feminist and cultural anthropologist, celebrated for her groundbreaking work on psychosexual behavior and gender relations. She has lectured at prominent universities globally, including the Sorbonne, Harvard, Columbia, Cambridge, Oxford, and the London School of Economics. Hite is also a regular contributor to international newspapers and journals.

From 1972 to 1978, Hite served as the Director of the National Organization for Women’s feminist sexuality project. Subsequently, she established and has since directed Hite Research International. Her ongoing research into sexual behavior has yielded significant discoveries concerning male sexuality, teen sexuality, and the impact of globalization on sexuality. Her seminal work, The Hite Report, first published in 1976, has achieved worldwide sales in the tens of millions.
