Dr. Rehman and his team are working to decipher the role of alternative splicing in health and disease. Their current research involves the identification and characterization of alternatively spliced novel isoforms of human genes linked to cancer, obesity, diabetes, neurodegenerative disorders, and host-pathogen interactions. Dr. Rehman has also served as a Leibniz-DAAD Fellow at the German Diabetes Centre, Dusseldorf, Germany. He has approximately 8 years of teaching and research experience and has authored around 45 research and review articles in his field.
Professor Mohammad Tabish completed his Ph.D. in Japan and is currently working in the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Life Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. He has undertaken post-doctoral training at various institutions, including the Department of Pharmacology, University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas, USA; School of Biological Sciences, University of Liverpool, UK; Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden; Toyohashi University of Technology, Toyohashi, Aichi, Japan; and University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, Connecticut, USA. Professor Tabish possesses over 25 years of teaching and research experience in biotechnology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. He has published numerous research and review articles in molecular biology, with a particular focus on alternative splicing. He has also been the recipient of several prestigious fellowships, including NIH-funded fellowships, the Wennergren Fellowship, the Leverhulme Trust Visiting Fellowship, and a Japanese Government (Monbusho) Fellowship for his Ph.D. studies at Toyohashi University of Technology, Toyohashi, Japan.
