Mary K. Campbell
Mary K. Campbell was Professor Emeritus of chemistry at Mount Holyoke College. She taught biochemistry, general chemistry, and physical chemistry, and advised undergraduates on biochemical research projects. Her passion for writing resulted in numerous successful editions of Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry. She also coauthored Biochemistry with Shawn O. Farrell.
Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Campbell earned her Ph.D. from Indiana University and conducted post-doctoral research in biophysical chemistry at Johns Hopkins University. Her research focused on the physical chemistry of biomolecules, particularly using spectroscopic methods to study protein-nucleic acid interactions.
