About The Author

S. Renold Elsen

Dr. S. Renold Elsen is a Senior Associate Professor in the Design and Automation Division, School of Mechanical Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of technology. His research interests include development of bone scaffold using robocasting technique. He has published 50 plus peer-reviewed papers.

Dr. Arunkumar Palaniappan is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular and Molecular Theranostics (CBCMT), VIT Vellore. He has over seven years of post-PhD research experience in the area of biomaterials research. He received his PhD in bioengineering, focusing on the development of composite injectable drug delivery systems for the treatment of osteoarthritis.

Professor Geetha Manivasagam is Founder and Director of the Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular and Molecular theranostics (CBCMT), Vellore Institute of Technology, India. She has been working on the additive manufacturing of biomaterials for the past 5 years.
