What They're Saying
Critics Review
“A groundbreaking and refreshingly human guidebook for identifying and understanding why we feel what we feel – and how to instantly start feeling better using Martin’s handy, commonsense and stunningly effective hacks.”– Noah Michelson, director of HuffPost Personal“Shockingly practical and a joy to read. As a psychologist, I find most mental health advice to be either too academic and dense or overly-simplistic and superficial. But Emotion Hacks gives the best of both worlds: simple, practical advice for managing difficult emotions based on a deep understanding of how the mind actually works. I enjoyed it thoroughly and will be recommending it often.”– Nick Wignall, PhD, psychologist, writer and entrepreneur “a must-read for both the general public and mental health professionals … a vital toolkit.”– Dr Kate Balestrieri, licensed psychologist, founder of Modern Intimacy, author of What Happened to My Sex Life?“once you’ve made it through the book – you realize how much you’ve learned, how much you’ve grown and how much you’re ready for a return trip.”– Christopher Gabriel, award-winning radio host on KMJ Radio“a must for anyone who hopes to identify patterns in their emotions and responses – and stop the unhelpful ones in their tracks”– Allie Volpe, correspondent at Vox
