Sheila Das began her edible growing journey via an allotment. After time spent working at Royal Botanic Garden, Kew and English Heritage, Sheila is now responsible for education, edibles, seed and wellbeing at RHS Wisley. Sheila is passionate about growing food in sustainable ways to support planetary and human health and cultivates a wide range of vegetables in her home garden and allotment.

Pavlina Kapsalis trained at RHS Wisley and has worked in its edibles team for a decade. She helped create Wisley’s World Food Garden and specialises in unusual crops. She gives podcasts, and is a keen allotment grower who loves cooking and experimenting with home-grown veg.

Paul Kettell leads the Edibles Team at RHS Garden Wisley. He trained in organic crop production, ran a vegetable box scheme and looks after a small vineyard. He is enjoying being a part of the transformation to more sustainable garden practices at RHS Wisley.

Elizabeth Mooney works with the edibles team at RHS Wisley. She began allotment growing as a teenager, then trained at Wisley before joining Wisley’s World Food Garden. She gives talks on edibles and is passionate about no-dig.

Gareth Richards is Associate Editor of The Garden magazine and curates the weekly RHS podcast. He trained at Writtle University College and is a keen allotment grower of many kinds of fruit, vegetables and herbs.

Pete Wilson is team leader for the School of Horticulture at RHS Wisley. He grew up on an organic market garden and has grown vegetables most of his life. He studied garden design and horticulture, taught horticulture at Plumpton College, and has an allotment in Brighton, Sussex.
