About The Author
Royal Horticultural Society
Simon Maughan’s passion for plants blossomed while studying Plant Science at the University of Edinburgh, inspired by leading botanists. Over the last twenty-five years, he has cultivated his knowledge and a love for practical gardening. In 1995, he began working on the RHS A-Z of Garden Plants and has since contributed to numerous gardening books covering diverse topics from species rhododendrons to garden design. He spent twelve years as an editor and publisher for the RHS, and this book marks his first foray into writing about botany.
