About the Author

Roy Smith has regularly written related Alpine Renault articles since 1989 for various magazines and is the UK correspondent for the major French Alpine Renault Magazine Mille Miles. He began rallying Minis in the 1960s, retired and in the 1980s won 5 sprint championships in saloons and single seaters in the 1990s including the Paul Matty Classic Hill Climb championship with an Alpine A110 in 1997.
