About The Author

Rossen Donev

Rossen Donev received his PhD degree in 1999 from the Institute of Molecular Biology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He completed postdoctoral training at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund (now Cancer Research UK) in London and at Cardiff University.

In 2007, he was awarded a New Investigator Grant from the Medical Research Council (UK) to establish his own independent research group. In 2010, Dr. Donev was appointed Senior Lecturer at Swansea University. In 2016, he joined MicroPharm Ltd (UK) where he currently serves as Head of Research.

Dr. Donev has authored over 60 research publications, chaired scientific conferences, and delivered invited plenary talks. He has provided consultation on projects focused on developing treatments for neurodevelopmental disorders and cancer therapies. He is the Editor-in-Chief of “Advances in Protein Chemistry and Structural Biology” and serves on the editorial boards of several other scientific journals.

His research interests encompass signaling pathways involved in neuropsychiatric disorders and tumor immune evasion, as well as the development of therapeutic strategies for these conditions. More recently, his focus has shifted to the development of immunotherapeutics for non-systemic applications.
