Rod MacDonald
Rod MacDonald is an internationally renowned shipwreck explorer, undersea adventurer, and best-selling diving author. He has authored twelve books about shipwrecks, representing a lifetime of diving experience. His meticulously illustrated books are widely recognized as the definitive guides to many famous dive locations worldwide, including Scapa Flow and Truk Lagoon.
A graduate of the University of Aberdeen School of Law, Rod is also a Fellow of the Explorers Club of New York and a Patron of the GB & Ireland Chapter of the Explorers Club.
When not engaged in writing or exploring shipwrecks, Rod enjoys sailing large yachts. He is a former volunteer lifeboatman and holds certifications as an RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor and a Search and Rescue (SAR) instructor.
Rod resides in Stonehaven, a small fishing town on the northeast coast of Scotland, with his wife, Claire.
