About The Author
Robert Kahn
Robert Kahn holds a Master’s Degree in Education. He began his career as a sixth-grade teacher, a role that ignited his concern for child safety. This passion led him to become a Deputy Sheriff, where he dedicated himself to educating and protecting young people.
During his time as a Deputy Sheriff, Robert developed and implemented a “Stranger Danger” program that was delivered in local schools and community service organizations. This initiative is credited by local law enforcement with preventing over 40 attempted abductions by strangers. To date, Robert has conducted more than 20,000 presentations on 15 different child safety topics. He also trained other officers across the state in the “Too Safe For Strangers” program, enabling them to implement it in their own communities.
Robert’s books are all narrated from the perspective of his children, Bobby and Mandee. His daughter, Mandee, is the central character, though Bobby also plays a significant role. As Robert is high-functioning autistic, he emphasizes the simplicity of his books, stating, “If he can understand the books, anybody can!” He believes that using straightforward language allows for broader accessibility and benefit. His books introduce important concepts and then offer practical tips on how to address them.
