Robert Fulghum is a writer, philosopher, and public speaker. His diverse career includes roles as a cowboy, folksinger, IBM salesman, professional artist, parish minister, bartender, and teacher of drawing and painting. He is also a father.

His book, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, has inspired numerous theater productions. Fulghum is the author of several New York Times bestsellers, such as It Was on Fire When I Lay Down on It, Uh-Oh, and Maybe (Maybe Not). He has also written two plays: All I Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten and Uh-Oh, Here Comes Christmas.
