About The Author
Robert A. Dooley
Robert A. Dooley is a former linguistics consultant with SIL International with special interests in syntax and discourse. In addition to work in linguistic analysis, translation, and field consultation, he has been associated with the Curso de Linguística e Missiologia in Brasília and the Summer Institute of Linguistics at the University of North Dakota (for which Analyzing Discourse was originally written in 2001).
Stephen H. Levinsohn is a senior linguistics consultant with SIL International. Since 1997 he has run Discourse for Translation workshops in 20 countries for linguist-translators working with over 400 languages.
