What They're Saying
Critics Review
“An exceptionally good-looking volume, full of practical advice’ The Bookseller
This book has a place in all libraries and would make a perfect gift for a young gardening enthusiast. * Read Plus *This guide to plants and how to grow them is a thing of beauty * i News *An exceptionally good-looking volume * The Bookseller *Grow is described as a children’s guide to plants and how to grow them, and it will absolutely appeal to young readers with an interest in the garden. All the same, I think it has a much broader appeal than just children. I think that readers of any age who want to grow their own plants and flowers but maybe don’t know quite how or where to start would find this book accessible, informative, encouraging, and inspiring. * Reading Time *
About The Author
Rizaniño Reyes
Rizaniño Reyes is a horticulturalist, speaker and educator. Growing up in the Philippines, Reyes spent his childhood on a fruit plantation managed by his father before moving to the Pacific Northwest aged 7. Upon arrival in the United States, Reyes learned the names of the new and strange flowers and continued to nurture his love of horticulture – “the art and science of plants” – at the University of Washington. Of his work, he says he hopes to inspire more young people, “especially people of colour, to be involved with interacting with nature and learning about the environment… If everyone did this, can you imagine what a beautiful world this could be?”
Sara Boccaccini Meadows is a British-born illustrator based in Los Angeles. Her playful and illustrative work, created in watercolour, gouache and ink pen and inspired by the great outdoors, has won her an audience of a quarter of a million followers on Instagram.
