Critic Reviews

"It was a delightful walk with you through the 1930's in your new book, Growing up in the 1930's. You have drawn on a life well lived to reveal your fond family memories, enhanced by black line drawings. Every generation since could take a leaf from your book."

Judith Flitcroft, author of Walk Back in Time.

"A remarkably accurate, detailed and comprehensive reminiscence of a period of difficult and formative struggle in Australian life. Frugality and innovation were hallmarks of most of that generation. Written in a sympathetic and readable style that lends itself to easy reading."

Phillip Rosewarne, author of Beyond His Station
