What They're Saying

Critics Review

“… a welcome departure from the many cryptid collections that feel hastily assembled and offer little beyond familiar facts. … The book’s extended coverage of Bigfoot is particularly rewarding … Informative, entertaining, and well researched, Monsters is an excellent read for folklore and cryptid enthusiasts.” —Fate magazine

“… Richard [Estep] does some deep researching into these monster icons and discovers some odd connections … see what else is hiding in the shadows … When you get started with this book, you will find it hard to put down.” —Paul Dale Roberts, Halo Paranormal Investigations

“… expertly balances the historical origins of legends with modern-day scientific theories … personal narratives adds a layer of chilling authenticity … The book strikes a perfect chord of “hopeful skepticism.” It acknowledges the likelihood of bears being mistaken for Sasquatches. The book also leaves the door wide open for the possibility that there are still biological mysteries hiding in the deep. … Whether you’re looking for a spooky weekend read or a reference guide for your next road trip through the wilderness, Estep delivers with heart. Estep also backs it up with high-quality research.” —David’s Basement of the Bizarre
