Rich Johnson
Rich Johnson is a seasoned veteran of the comic book industry with a career marked by innovation and leadership. He served as the V.P. of Book Trade Sales for DC Comics, where he was instrumental in establishing graphic novels within the trade book and library markets.
Johnson also co-founded Yen Press, a prominent graphic novel and manga imprint, and Yen Plus, a monthly manga magazine. More recently, he held the position of V.P. Sales, Marketing, and Business Development at Lion Forge.
Currently, he is the founder of Brick Road Media, LLC, a publishing consultancy, and V.P. Sales and Business Development for Diamond Book Distributors.
He co-edited and contributed to COVID Chronicles: A Comics Anthology for Graphic Mundi, a work recognized as one of the Best Graphic Novels of the Year by The Washington Post. Johnson is also an accomplished author, having written articles and books on comics and pop culture.
His dedication to education includes professorships at both Drexel and Pace University. He has also contributed his expertise as a judge for the Eisner Awards, the comic industry’s most prestigious honor.
