About The Author

Reginald P. Howard

Reginald P. Howard (Reggie) is a self-proclaimed freelance illustrator who has been drawing for the love of art for over 40 years. Born in Amarillo, Texas, in 1963, Reginald is the fifth of six siblings, offspring of Nona and Olin Howard.

Aside from a few drawing classes in high school, Reggie’s artistic journey is self-taught and self-refined. Today, his illustrations carry more purpose and meaning, marked by the recent publishing of his book and his role as an illustrator for a series of children’s books authored by his wife.

A graduate of Wright State University with a degree in [Undergraduate Degree field, if known] and Averett College for his M.B.A., Reginald has dedicated over 32 years to a career with the federal government in Washington D.C. However, it was the constant encouragement from his wife, India, that propelled his artistic talent into the public eye. Reggie likens his drawing ability to riding a bike: once learned, it’s never forgotten. He often expresses surprise at how his skills have evolved, remarking that he is “shocked by what comes out at the end of his pen.”

Inspired by his wife’s suggestion to share his art beyond his personal sketchbooks, Reggie’s work is now available for others to enjoy. He resides in Maryland with his wife and three children: Regan, Daia, and Chancellor. His wife, a talented Program Manager, spearheaded the production of his books, with their daughter Daia, owner and operator of the publishing company, ensuring their professional quality.
