Knots

A series of dialogue-scenarios, which can be read as poems or plays, describing the knots and impasses in various kinds of human relationships.

R. D. Laingwas a Scottishpsychiatristwho wrote extensively onmental illness in particular, the experience ofpsychosis. Laing's views on the causes and treatment of serious mental dysfunction, greatly influenced byexistentialphilosophy, ran counter to the psychiatric orthodoxy of the day by taking the expressedfeelingsof the individual patient or client as valid descriptions of lived experience rather than simply as symptoms of some separate or underlying disorder. Laing studied medicine at the University of Glasgow. He died in 1989,"
