About The Author

Ranjana Das

Ranjana Das completed her Ph.D in Chemical Technology from Calcutta University in 2009 and is presently associated with the Chemical Engineering Department as Associate Professor. She is a Life member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineering, Oil Technologists’ Association of India, and the Indian Science Congress Association. She is currently acting as Project Investigator of two National projects. Her research interests include membrane separation processes, solid waste and waste water treatment, nanomaterial synthesis and application.

Chiranjib Bhattacharjee has served in the faculty position at the Chemical Engineering Department, Jadavpur University for 30 years and is presently acting as Pro Vice Chancellor of Jadavpur University. He is also acting as President of the West Bengal council of Higher Secondary Education from August 16th, 2021. Prof. Bhattacharjee has delivered many invited lectures at different places at National & International levels. He was involved in collaborative research with the University of Montpellier, France and the University of Melbourne, Australia. He was also involved in Indo-Korean, as well as in European Union (EU) sponsored projects as Principal Investigator/ Coordinator. He is involved in several project activities as Principal Investigator/ Coordinator, funded by AICTE, DST, DBT, and UGC. He has more than 10 awards to his credit. He is a life member of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, The Institution of Engineers (India), and the Indian Science Congress Association. His research interest is in Environmental Remediation, Bioremediation and advanced separation techniques, waste utilization and management, recovery of value from waste.

Maulin P. Shah is an active researcher and microbial biotechnologist with diverse research interests. His primary interest is the environment, the quality of our living resources, and the ways that bacteria can help to manage and degrade toxic wastes and restore environmental health. Consequently, his work has been focused to assess the impact of industrial pollution on microbial diversity of wastewater following cultivation dependant and cultivation independent analysis.
