About The Author
Randy Dunn
Randy L. Dunn began his career as an electronics technician and then became an IT Support Specialist. He was always drawn to repairing damaged vehicles as a hobby and decided to pursue an education in the automotive field. After graduation, he began a career in the collision industry, where he was employed for 14 years before accepting a position as the Collision Repair Technology instructor at Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Morristown, Tennessee. He has been teaching his passion for repairing damaged vehicles to students for the past 13 years. He has nine years of career and technical education in electronics theory and application, computer information technology, auto body repair, and automotive technology. He holds multiple technical education certificates and two technical diplomas from TCAT Morristown. He is an ASE Master Collision Technician, an NC3 certified instructor and campus administrator, and holds I-CAR, OSHA, EPA, and many other industry-recognized certifications.
Terry Sparks is an award-winning educator, author, and automotive technology expert with 38 years of experience. He currently serves as vice president of instruction at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology–Upper Cumberland. Over his career, he has worked as an automotive instructor, an independent arbitrator, and an automotive business owner. Terry holds a BS in interdisciplinary studies from Tennessee Technological University, multiple associate degrees from Volunteer State Community College, and a diploma in automotive technology. He is an ASE Master Technician, an NC3 certified instructor, and the recipient of several honors, including the ASE/Valvoline National Instructor of the Year, the W.A. Howard Award for Academic Excellence, and New Vocational Instructor of the Year.
