What They're Saying
Critics Review
“Love them or hate them, football agents are a fundamental cornerstone of the international transfer system. Football agents work with clubs and players to achieve their professional goals and assist clubs in building teams to deliver on-field success.
While the headlines are hogged by the biggest transfer fees, highest agent commissions, and deals involving the best players, the industry’s untold reality is that most agents put in thousands of hours of work behind the scenes to help deliver successful outcomes for their clients.
The Agents’ Game tells those stories - and more - through the eyes of Australia’s leading and most impactful football agents.”
James Kitching, Former Director of Football Regulatory, FIFA
***
“We often hear about talented Australian football players aspiring to play overseas at major clubs. Yet, what is frequently overlooked in the Australian football landscape is the crucial role that Australian football agents play in making these opportunities a reality. Positioned far from the heart of the global football industry, the agents tirelessly drive negotiations, forge pathways, and secure outcomes for Australian players and coaches.
The hard work behind the scenes-overcoming fixed perceptions of Australian talent, navigating constant travel, building relationships with football directors and clubs, and managing the complexities of dealmaking-rarely receives the attention it deserves.
In The Agents’ Game, Peter Paleologos brings together the untold stories of Australian football agents, shedding light on a business that is both uncompromising and deeply compelling. This book fills a gap in football literature, offering valuable insights into the pivotal role that football agents play in influencing the game, both in Australia and internationally.”
Craig Moore, Former Australian International and FIFA Player Agent
