About The Author

Paul Auster

Paul Auster is a bestselling author and film director. He has been awarded the Prince of Asturias Prize for Literature, the Prix Médicis Étranger, the Independent Spirit Award, and the Premio Napoli. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a Commandeur de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. He was on the PEN American Center Board of Trustees from 2004 to 2009, and Vice President during 2005 to 2007.

Paul Karasik is a two-time Eisner Award winner who began his career as the Associate Editor of Art Spiegelman and Françoise Mouly’s RAW magazine. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The New Yorker.
