About The Author
Patricia Forde
Patricia Forde is an award-winning writer from Galway on the west coast of Ireland and was the seventh Laureate na nÓg, Ireland’s children’s laureate. She has written more than twenty books for children, in both English and Irish, as well as plays, television programmes, and recently a film.
Rachael Saunders is an illustrator based in Hampshire, UK. With a strong interest in the rich printed aesthetic of 1960s children’s books, her work explores colour, shape, and texture in a vibrant and humorous manner. Since graduating from Falmouth University in 2014, she has worked with a wide range of international clients, including The Wall Street Journal, Radley, and Walker Books. From a young age, Rachael has always loved to draw; to now have her hobby become a career, she feels extremely blessed.
