What They're Saying

Critics Review

A brilliant novel that fizzes with energy and passion. The first-person narration gives the reader a great sense of Dorothea’s vivid personality, and I was completely invested in the story of her trials and triumphs across two decades. Her work as a spy in World War Two was particularly fascinating. Her backstory, growing up in poverty in Missouri, was cleverly woven in, adding extra depth to an already rich and powerful story. I whole-heartedly recommend it. * GILL THOMPSON *
