Genghis Con is the story of guilt-ridden grifter, Alexis, who seeks redemption for herself and justice for her sister, Abigail, by taking part in a win or die rally race from England into the mountains of Mongolia. Along the way, she must team up with her erstwhile lover and fend off attacks from parties unknown, including one particularly ruthless gangster. Meanwhile, the spirit of a mysterious Mongol warrior haunts Alexis on her journey.
"Genghis Con is as fast-paced and fun as the bad-ass rally cars that fly across its pages." - Conor McCreery (writer: Kill Shakespeare, Adventure Time, The Last Witch, Assassin's Creed)
"Grounded in sensitive storytelling, Genghis Con is a rough and tumble ride through international rally racing and sibling rivalry that got my heart pumping and left me yearning to commune with the ghosts of my own (not nearly as impressive) ancestors. Shakespeare meets Top Gear. Two stick-shifts up." - Jeremy Boxen, writer/producer (Orphan Black, Imposters, 22 Chaser)
"More than just a clever play-on-words title, Genghis Con is a story of family drama layered with intrigue, set against the entertaining backdrop of a multi-country rally race. Ho and Reynolds build the anticipation up before the starting gun fires, and the story races forward from there, as Peterson's energetic linework and wonderfully expressive faces keep you turning the pages until you reach the finish line." - Josh Kern, editor at Raptors HQ.
"Genghis Con is a pan-continental thrill ride from start to finish, combining family drama, criminal intrigue, Mongol history and more! This is what comics are all about." - Brice Hall, Producer/Designer at the National Post.
"An enthralling read with mediations on auto racing, the value of lying and half-truths and mankind's inclination for reckless abandon. The artwork and storyline are far more detailed than your average comic and Genghis Con is a must-read for comic fans and novices alike." - Arun Srinivasan, editor at Yahoo Sports Canada.
