Octavio Paz
Octavio Paz was a celebrated poet and essayist, born in Mexico City in 1914. He began writing at an early age and, in 1937, traveled to Valencia, Spain, to participate in the Second International Congress of Anti-Fascist Writers. His illustrious career was recognized with the 1990 Nobel Prize for Literature. Octavio Paz died in 1998.
