“Nothing is more important than having a healthy child – and in this age of rising autism rates, this new book offers some much-needed hope! Most of us realise all too well that autism rates are rising world-wide. Until this book, what wasn’t understood is that there are many contributing factors that underly these rising rates – and that far from there being nothing that can be done – there are in fact, many easy, actionable things that parents CAN do to ensure the healthy neurodevelopment of their child. Based on a mountain of verifiable research, Nyema Hermiston’s latest book is both easy to read and equally important, it is written with compassion that comes from decades of working in the healthcare space. It is not an exaggeration to say that ‘Planning Parenthood in the Age of Autism – A Research-Based Guide’ offers much-needed hope to all parents-to-be and their extended families and friends, as well as the wider community. If you are contemplating parenthood, or someone you love is, this ground-breaking new book is a must. I cannot recommend this book more highly!” - Tracey Hordern

About The Author
Nyema Hermiston
Nyema Hermiston is a health practitioner, researcher, and author with decades of experience in both the practical and academic healthcare space. Holding a Bachelor of Science Honours degree (2021), as well as being a registered Nurse (RN) with an Advanced Diploma of Homeopathy and a Diploma of Naturopathy, Nyema is dedicated to sharing her evidence-based research and practical knowledge with the growing number of people who are interested in learning how to take charge of their own and their family’s health and wellbeing.
While researching for her Science degree, Nyema’s study focussed on the exponentially growing number of children being diagnosed with Autism. Not content with the typical medical advice – that there is nothing that can prevent, or be done for the many families facing the consequences of a lifetime of caring for a child with Autism, Nyema has dedicated the last four years meticulously researching and collating the latest, science-backed evidence to the contrary.
Nyema Hermiston’s other published titles include Good News for People with Bad News – Recovery Stories Everyone Must Know About, Treat Your Child Yourself – A Parent’s Guide to Drug-Free Solutions for Common Complaints, (co-written with Jon Gamble) and Treat Your Child’s Ear Infections Yourself.
