Nomar Perez was born in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, in the city of Ponce, and moved with his parents and five siblings to Ohio at the age of 10. Nomar has been influenced by all types of art, especially animation, puppetry, and digital art. He studied computer animation and painting at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and since then has worked as an illustrator for social expression products in the humor, children, and young adult categories. Nomar has also illustrated several children’s storybooks and school publications. De aqui como el Coqui is his debut as an author-illustrator.
