About The Author
Neil Gopee
Neil Gopee is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Coventry University, and was previously an Associate Lecturer at the Open University for mentorship and Post-Graduate Certificate in Education courses. As an external examiner at various higher education institutions, Gopee has gained insights into teaching, learning, and assessment, as well as leadership and management in healthcare settings.
Gopee qualified as a nurse and worked in general surgical nursing before completing the registered mental health nurse course. His nursing career includes clinical experience in primary care and general intensive care nursing, along with professional development courses and a doctorate in continuing professional education from the University of Warwick.
Gopee is the author of Mentoring and Supervision in Healthcare (fifth edition). He has also written Leadership and Management in Healthcare (third edition), Practice Teaching in Healthcare, and Leading and Managing Healthcare (2022). He has contributed chapters to edited books and has published peer-reviewed articles.
